Richard Desmond, President
Rich's passion for construction and engineering developed early. As a youth, he worked summers for his grandfather's Marin County top soil, grading, and excavating firm.
Later, he helped his father build the family's summer vacation home at Lake Tahoe. Rich also worked as a mechanic, further developing his technical and analytical skills.
Before founding Desmond & Wallace, Inc., Rich worked for a prominent general engineering contractor, gaining firsthand experience in grading, excavation, underground, concrete, paving, structural steel,
and grade setting. His engineering projects included highways and airport runways.
As an independent, licensed general contractor, Rich led projects ranging from residential remodels to high-end spec homes.
Rich also holds a California General Engineering License.
A former motorcycle racer, and an avid mountain biker and road cyclist, Rich enjoys camping, boating, and hiking with his wife
Lisa and their two Redbone Coonhounds. Rich is an enthusiastic community activist, contributing to such local programs as the
Police Activities League and the Sonoma County Deputy Sheriff's Association's. A devoted animal lover, Rich also supports the local and national Humane Society and the ASPCA.
